Recipes for Homemade Facial Moisturizers:
Natural dry skin
moisturizer
- 2 ounces organic olive oil
- 4 ounces shea butter
- 2 teaspoons organic vitamin E oil, 5000 IU
- 1 teaspoon active royal jelly (You can find this in the refrigerated section
of health food stores)
- 6 drops organic lavender essential oil (optional)
Combine and heat all the ingredients on high until creamy. Store in an airtight
container and refrigerate. Royal jelly contains excellent healing properties and works well in a moisturizer,
however because of the royal jelly active ingredients only make small amounts of this moisturizer at a
time.
Avocado moisturizer
1/2 avocado - mash
2 tablespoons yogurt mix with avocado
3 tablespoons honey
add an essential oil (optional)
Pat onto face with sponge, leave on for twenty minutes and rinse off.
Store in your refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
Moisturizer I
For a moisturizing and nourishing mask, blend a mashed banana with white cosmetic
clay and apply.
For normal skin, mix 1 cup yogurt, 1 tablespoon orange juice and 1 tablespoon
lemon juice and apply it on your face. Clean it off after 20 minutes.
For dry skin, use a mixture of cooked oatmeal and honey; it is a very good
moisturize and cleansing agent
Egg Facial Mask (Smoothes and
Moisturizes)
1 egg
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 tbsp honey
Instructions: Beat the egg in a small bowl. Add the coconut oil and honey slowly,
beating until it's the consistency of mayonnaise. Spoon mixture into a toilet paper roll, sitting upright in a
small bowl. Set in the freezer overnight. To use, peel away the top of the cardboard roll and smooth the frozen
stick over your face. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes, then wash off with warm water. Keep the stick covered with
plastic wrap and freeze between uses.
