Toothpaste

Smooth a small bit of toothpaste, use toothpaste and not the gel, before bedtime. Toothpaste can reduce swelling overnight.

The Wonders Of Honey

Homemade Lye Soap

Remedy for back acne: Make some homemade soap using Lye (Sodium Hydroxide) and add some tree tea oil to it. This not only improves your acne, it will make your skin soft as well.

Take Your Vitamins

Take your vitamins - If proper nutrition is not achieved your skin can produce excessive amounts of sebum which clogs your pores and keeps your skin from healing and fighting bacteria.

Vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin E, Zinc, Selenium, and Magnesium are important to healthy skin cells, hormonal balance, and maintaining a strong immune system.

Taking a multi-vitamin that contains 100% of the recommended daily value of these vitamins and minerals is helpful to the prevention of acne.

The power of Lemon Juice

Use Lemon Juice - Lemon juice is a very good pimple fighter - Wash your face and rinse thoroughly. Squeeze a fresh lemon into a small bowl and put the juice on a cotton ball. Apply cotton ball to face. Repeat soaking of cotton ball in lemon juice as needed. Let lemon juice dry on face for about 10 minutes then rinse with cool water. The lemon juice should make your face sting or mildly burn. If you have sensitive skin you may wish to dilute juice with water. Follow this procedure one to two times per day and you will notice amazing results within 14 days.

Zinc Oxide

Zinc is an antibacterial agent. A diet low in zinc can cause acne breakouts. First use warm water to wash the face (to remove dirt) and use cold water to rinse.

Use a Clean Pillow Case

Wash your pillowcase often and always use clean face towels. Dirty towels and pillow cases can harbor bacteria and germs that can make acne worse.

Drink, Drink and Drink some more - Water that is

Drink an adequate amount of water daily. Many recommend three to four tall glasses and mineral or filtered water. Too little water can lead to dehydration, which can lead to dead skin cells not naturally falling off or sloughing properly; the end result can be blocked pores, acne.

Using Herbs

Herbs are a few great natural home treatments of acne. They work gently and build up your systems resistance over time. Herbs work slowly but are effective. Always take prescribed doses as detailed on your bottle.

To balance hormones, use Saw Palmetto Berry extract for boys and chaste tree berry extract for girls.

Echinacea can be used to boost the immune system to fight against acne-causing bacteria. It also helps fight off colds and flu.

Other herbs that may help include: alfalfa, burdock root, cayenne, chaparral, dandelion root, the herbal combinations AKN and BFC, red clover, and yellow dock root. Green tea extract pills have also shown varied results in some individuals.
