Treat yourself and your wallet to some soothing and relaxing moments with these home facials & treatments.

Cleanse & Exfoliate

Gentle Cleanser
1/2 cup oatmeal or cornmeal
2 tbs of plain yogurt [Add enough yogurt to form a paste]

Mix ingredients, smooth over entire face avoiding eye area. Allow to sit for 10 minutes and rinse

Oatmeal & Almond Scrub
1 part ground oatmeal or ground almonds
3 to 5 drops of essential oil of choice if desired

Mix well with a fork. Use oatmeal for normal skin. Oatmeal is a soothing, softening cleanser, and makes an excellent nonalkaline soap substitute. If your skin is dry, use ground almonds for a good moisturizing cleanser.

Fruit Mask Exfoliator
1 papaya
1 tsp. honey
1 tsp. lemon juice in blender.

Mix all ingredients in blender. Apply and then wash off after 20 mins.

Homemade Facial Mask For Acne

Apply the raw yolk of an egg to your face and neck for 30 minutes and rinse with cool water. Egg yolks are high in vitamin A. The mask is very effective in healing blemishes.

Wrinkle Reducer

Wrinkle Remover & Skin Toner
2 tablespoons vodka
1 tablespoon fennel seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons honey

Combine all ingredients; stir well. Allow to sit for 3 days. Strain mixture. Use a cotton ball to apply to face and neck as a toner.

Anti-Wrinkle Creams

  • Apply coconut oil on facial wrinkles and gently massage every night at bedtime.
  • Don't throw out those old bananas. Banana is a wonderful anti-wrinkle treatment. Mash 1/4 banana until very creamy.  Spread all over face and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water followed by a dash of cold. Gently pat dry.

Relaxing Facial

Good old fashioned Bees hone is one of the best soothing facials around. Begin by warming your face with a warm washcloth.  Leave the cloth on your face for a few seconds.  Remove the cloth and begin applying the honey to your face.  Leave it on for about 20 minutes then rinse off with warm water and follow it with a cold water rinse to close up your pores.  Your skin will feel great!

Reduce Age spots

Apply vitamin E oil directly to age spots.  Do this as a daily regimen to reduce coloration of age spots.

Stay tuned, there are more homemade facial treatments & Recipes added often.
